BIOLOGICAL SYSTEMATICS: TAXONOMY AND PHYLOGENY of Arachnids

Arachnids play significant roles in both agricultural and natural ecosystems and suffer from insufficient basic taxonomic study. In Israel, there are still knowledge gaps in our understanding of the arachnofauna diversity and distribution. Such gaps in our knowledge hinder our understanding of ecological systems and raise obstacles to characterizing the complexity and understanding the mechanisms forming biodiversity
